Citizenship...
When we set out on this journey, we thought it would be something that would be simple. we were right. It is simple. The concept overall is simple. It is easy to grasp and to hold on to. Sadly, though, simplicity and ease are not the same thing. It is very simple to lead a horse to water. The trick has been to make it easier and easier and that is the beauty of the modern world.
We set out to create a space where everyone can do what they want, so long as those things do not harm anyone else.
We set out to create a place where the art and the viewer are closer together...
We set out to create a place where the music and the listener are closer together...
There is less between good food and the tongue...
There is less between the artist and their art.
We looked at situations and we solved the problems.
We have already pledged that this is going to be the year that we speak but it is also going to be the year that we listen.
We are building our city in the woods and the wheels are in motion. A nation needs its citizens or it is not a nation and a nation must provide for those citizens. We reward our supporters so those who are coming to and pay full price for one event, you are a citizen. Every time you see something that we post at EQgreenville, there will be a citizen option. This is the year that the more you support these things that you believe in, the easier we make it...The more the artist gets, the more we support the venue, the more we can make happen.
To become a citizen, become a part of any of these things... Spend your values this year and support something that means something to you!

Are you still in the process of building the community?
ReplyDeletehave you had any luck in finding info on building?
DeleteI am searching for any info on small/tiny houses in charleston and surrounding area. I cant seem to find any communities as of now. trying to learn how to go about perhaps building a nice little place on land in the area. If anyone has any info, has started this process and might be able to steer me in the right direction as to zoning, builders and such please email me at jjojo1717@aol.com I keep seeing posts here and there about people who are interested but thats about it.
ReplyDeleteLook into Berkley County, SC it borders Charleston County and is accepting of tiny houses. If you need help building contact me and I can help manage the project, offer advice, or do a turn key.
DeleteI am looking for a place to locate or purchase a tiny home near Charleston, SC. I have been to Berkeley County, and that is an acceptable option. How do I go about finding a rental spot in that area. Are Charter Schools a possibility? Are they on a lottery system or can you apply? I don't want to be in an RV park or anyplace that rents nightly or weekly, because your transient neighbors won't show on the map if they are registered sex offenders. Most places do not require them to check-in unless they will be there more than 3 weeks. Can anyone with information contact me at ockat86@gmail.com, please?
DeleteAny luck? I am originally from Charleston. Currently, I live in an rv community in Georgia. I go to Charleston 4 or 5 times a year. It is getting unbelievable crowded. Traffic is horrendous. So a bordering county might be the best solution. I am toying with the idea of moving back into SC.
DeleteLooking for a tiny house to rent in Greenville, SC- any such thing?
ReplyDeleteSouth Carolina builder in hot pursuit of town agreement. Contact me for more information as time proceeds

Hello. I am a disabled Veteran and I live in an apartment in the slums of Houston Texas. I see no one but I have tried in vain however the area is not safe to do so. I would love to move to the S.C area because I have met a wonderful lady in the area of Spartanburg SC. I cannot make it from pay check to paycheck. Please help me.

Hi, I was wondering when the community will be available to rent spaces? It seems to be harder to find places that rent because we aren't a rv or motor home. My fiance and I build tiny Homes and we currently own one, but it's hard to find a place to park it any thing on that?

ReplyDeleteI don't know any more than what I read, but if you are not opposed to NC, Henderson County (Asheville) is supposedly Tiny Home friendly, and there is a converted RV park there called Wildflower Village. Hope that helps.
DeleteI am looking for a tiny house community close to Greenville, SC my idea though is a bit different, yet similar. I am hoping to purchase some land ready for a home, in a tiny home community designed for permanent dwelling for 50 and over, where everyone helps everyone, and pituresque cute little mail boxes, front porches, tiny post office, tiny general store, and other tiny buildings and one large home for the residence..........We could have events and more,
ReplyDeleteI too am looking to help develop a tiny home community which is why I've joined several groups thru Meetups to get more information and the ins & outs.

ReplyDeleteSounds like paradise to me. I am senior single person and love the concept but scared to believe it can be.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of a 55+ little house community close to Anderson SC
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of a 55+ little house community close to Anderson SC
ReplyDeleteAnderson County would not be a bad commute for me
ReplyDeleteI love the idea. We need to gather information on anyone that's interested in tiny living in the area. We need to come up with an idea and the location. There is land between Greenville and Anderson off of I 88 and I 8 close to Easly that's available to purchase. I've looked at a lot of land and considered the 55 and older Community of tiny homes. I've designed it and I've named it but I don't have any support in that area. I currently own land in Anderson South Carolina, i've purchased 2. 40 foot high cube shipping containers that I am going to convert into a tiny home. My issue is with the local building in codes. If you're interested in me starting a Facebook page so that we can all get together or get a meeting together of people that are interested in the tiny community that would be great and we can bounce ideas off of each other and come up with something. My name is Lillie Hodges I can be contacted at 864-293-8381
ReplyDeleteI would love to help facilitate this pjoject in any way possible. I'm currently a project management student looking to gain some experience. Please contact me if I can help. Clayton.duckett@gmail.com
DeleteLillie Hodges are you still trying to get a Tiny House Community together? If so, I would like to get involved. Karen Hoss
DeleteI am also interested in the Tiny House living arrangement. I'm currently in a condo in Columbia, SC. I will be losing my home, which is paid for, within a few years due to the highway expansion. I am retired and ready to downsize.
ReplyDeleteEmail me if this is still going on? I'll help in anyway possible. I am looking for a place to put my tiny house. I don't have any land. I just moved from ky in March and would love to be apart of a tiny house community. rksmit01@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI'm terribly sorry if someone has already answered this question. However, my family is relocating to the Charleston, SC with our jobs. We're sick of apartment living with our 9 & 10 year old adventure seeking daughters. We are seeking a tiny house community with one to rent & later move our own to. Can anyone help?
ReplyDeleteI am disabled, and on disability, so I have a limited income. I'm 47, and find myself in a trying situation, I've been interested in tiny homes for a while now, as I don't need a whole lot of space. I'm just wondering if there is a rent to own option on tiny houses, or a viable, inexpensive way to join a community. Any information anyone can share would be greatly appreciated. You can e-mail me at ravinwilson@aol.com thank you.
